What is a reverse tradeshow?
Our reverse tradeshow allows sports destinations to meet with sports event planners and industry partners during individual appointments based on their requests, as well as additional factors. Sports event owners sit at designated spaces in the exhibit hall and sports destinations have 1-2 minutes to travel between appointments. A bell rings at the beginning and end of each appointment.

How much does registration cost?
Registration rates vary depending on membership status and the number of attendees your organization sends.

Showcase your destination in the spotlight by purchasing a booth in the Sports ETA marketplace at the Symposium! Decked out in your brand, your booth will be the perfect place to highlight what makes your destination truly unique. While you'll still visit industry partner and event owner booths for appointments, your booth offers a dedicated space for attendees to stop by and meet you / your team anytime. Bring multiple staff members to ensure your booth is always covered while you're at appointments. An exhibitor booth includes two (2) registrations, while a preferred exhibitor booth comes with four (4) registrations, providing ample opportunities to connect and network.

  • 1 appointment schedule – with both event owners and industry partners

Why do I have to pay a membership fee? Other conferences and tradeshows only charge a registration fee.

Unlike other tradeshows you may have attended, Sports ETA Symposium is the annual meeting for a not-for-profit trade association.  Membership fees are required to gain access to many meaningful benefits, including the opportunity to take appointments at our annual meeting.  Membership fees are a nominal investment and exhibit your commitment to the sports events and tourism industry.

When does the appointment portal open and close?
The appointment portal will open on February 24, 2025. The first registered attendee from your organization will be notified via the email used during registration when the portal is open. The portal will remain open to request, accept, decline, and rank appointments. The portal will close on March 31, 2025.

How do I book my hotel room?
You can book a room online at one of the hotels in our group block. The hotel block will open fall 2024.
